The linear pressure of the pressure roller refers to the pressure applied by the pressure roller to the paper roll during the rewinding process. During the initial rewinding phase, the pressure roller provides additional load to the paper roll, working together with the front and rear bottom rollers to provide a rewinding force. As the roll diameter increases, the position of the pressure roller gradually rises, and the pressure applied by the pressure roller gradually decreases. When the roll diameter reaches a certain value, the pressure applied by the pressure roller reaches zero. At this point, it serves only as a device to maintain the paper roll in position. The pressure control program for the pressure roller must be selected based on the quality of the paper. Generally, the pressure of the pressure roller is automatically controlled according to a preset pressure curve and does not require operator modification.

Unwinding tension control: When rewinding a group of paper rolls, try to avoid changing the rewinding tension to ensure uniform tension inside and outside the slitter rewinder. Secondly, if the web tension is controlled too low during the rewinding process, the roll can become loose or slip on the bottom roller, resulting in paper defects such as wrinkling and interleaving. If the tension is controlled too high, the roll can burst or damage the paper core. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a constant actual tension control value during the rewinding process and to install a well-tuned inertia compensation regulator in the tension closed-loop control system.
