Principle of a Film Slitter and Rewinder

A film slitter and rewinder primarily consists of an unwinding mechanism, a cutting mechanism, a rewinding mechanism, various functional rollers, and tension control, correction, and detection devices. Its operating principle is as follows: The raw film from the unwinding mechanism passes through a flattening roller, a tension detection roller, an energizing roller, and a correction system before entering the cutting mechanism for slitting. The slit film is then rewound into standard rolls by the rewinding mechanism. Throughout the entire process, a PLC performs calculations and controls the operation of each component, enabling system self-diagnosis. A touch screen serves as the human-machine interface, accepting operator commands and setting and displaying various operating parameters. A frequency converter drives the main drive motor, providing motion and power for the various transmission mechanisms. Furthermore, the unwinding and rewinding tension control systems utilize constant tension and torque control to ensure that the raw material does not deform or wrinkle during the slitting process, and that the finished roll has the proper tension and a neat end surface.
