Best BOPP Film Slitting Machine Manufacturers in China
A procurement review of ten Chinese builders of BOPP film slitting and rewinding equipment - covering slitting method selection, tension architecture, wide-web capability, rewind configuration and the specification questions that decide whether a line runs at 800 m/min or stops every forty minutes.
How to Read This BOPP Film Slitting Machine Sourcing Guide

BOPP remains the default substrate of flexible packaging, and slitting is the operation that decides how much of a jumbo roll actually becomes sellable finished stock. A BOPP film slitting machine is therefore judged on a narrow set of outcomes rather than on a feature list. Does the slitting width hold tolerance from the first metre of a roll to the last? Does web tension stay flat as the unwind diameter falls from 1,200 mm down to the core? Do the finished rolls come off with flat, dust-free faces that a converter can load straight onto a printer or laminator? And can a knife change be completed without writing off half a shift?

The gap between a 1,300 mm converting slitter and a wide-web BOPP line is not one of degree. A machine engineered for 6,000 mm mother rolls uses a different frame, a different unwind architecture, a different rewind concept and a different control platform from a 1,600 mm tape slitter. Buyers who work out which class they genuinely need before they start requesting quotations find that most of the market narrows very quickly - and that the price spread between the survivors starts to make sense.

This guide reviews ten Chinese manufacturers that build slitting and rewinding equipment for BOPP and related film substrates. Every company listed maintains a registered manufacturing operation in China, runs its own production floor rather than outsourcing assembly, and publishes technical data that a buyer can verify. Trading intermediaries, resellers and assembly-only workshops were screened out, as were entities with no documented manufacturing footprint and no patent activity.

Practical note for buyers: on a BOPP slitter the binding constraint is almost never the machine delivery date. It is the material trial. Before releasing a deposit, require each shortlisted supplier to run your own film, at your target speed, with your intended slitting method, and to hand you the finished rolls for edge inspection and core measurement. A supplier who resists being tested is telling you something useful.
In No Particular Order

The ten manufacturers below are presented without ranking. Sequence reflects the order in which the profiles were compiled, not performance. Match the machine class and the slitting method to your own web width, thickness range and downstream process before you compare price.

Zhejiang, China · Independent Station and Non-stop Slitter Rewinders
Dadu Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.

Dadu Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., registered as Zhejiang Dadu Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., builds wide-film slitting and rewinding lines out of Zhejiang and positions itself deliberately in the mid-to-high end of this category. The company states its objective as benchmarking against the world's leading slitting platforms while building a domestic equipment brand, and the product architecture reflects that intent. Rather than offering one generic slitter, Dadu maintains two distinct families - the Independent Station Slitter Rewinder and the Non-stop Slitter Rewinder - and lets the application decide which architecture the buyer actually needs.

The DFLM and DFLM-NEW series show how far the range stretches. The standard DFLM handles BOPET, BOPP, CPP, CPE and metallized film from 8 to 125 micrometres, unwinds mother rolls up to 5,800 mm wide and 1,200 mm in diameter at a maximum roll weight of 3 tonnes, and rewinds to 1,000 mm diameter on 3 inch or 6 inch cores. The DFLM-NEW moves into an entirely different class: 6 to 125 micrometres, unwind widths to 10,900 mm, unwind diameters to 2,000 mm, unwind weights to 27 tonnes, rewind diameters to 1,300 mm at 3 tonnes per station, and a standard running speed of 800 m/min that can be specified up to 1,200 m/min. Slitting is by razor blade or burst cut, with minimum slit widths of 300 mm and 350 mm respectively.

What separates this platform from a typical regional assembler is the handling and control layer. The unwind is shaftless with automatic loading, tension is servo-driven and closed loop, edge position is managed by a German E+L web guide with 75 mm of correction travel, and the electrical package pairs Schneider low-voltage switchgear with an Inovance operator interface. Four rewinding stations on independent differential shafts let the machine finish rolls up to 2 tonnes at 1,000 mm diameter, and optional laser core positioning removes the guesswork from core alignment. Standard equipment includes a splice table, trim removal blower and static eliminator brushes, with trim waste winders, camera inspection and safety fencing with perimeter sensors available as options.

The non-stop family solves the same throughput problem by a different route. On the ATFQ-1300 and ATFQ-1600, a dual-turret four-shaft layout keeps two shafts winding at full speed while the other two complete paper core mounting and finished roll discharge in parallel. Unwind widths are 1,300 mm and 1,600 mm, slit widths run from 25 mm up to 1,250 mm or 1,550 mm, plastic films from 12 to 100 micrometres and papers from 30 to 200 gsm are supported, and running speed is 600 m/min. Dadu states the arrangement lifts overall output by more than 40 percent against a conventional single-turret machine by eliminating roll-change downtime. The 1300 model occupies 5,000 x 3,500 x 2,500 mm at 13.8 tonnes.

The company has spent two decades in the slitting field, draws its core team from established slitting equipment makers, and operates a 15,000 square metre facility with more than 100 employees and a monthly output above 50 units. Machines are dynamically balanced and put through a 100-hour endurance run before dispatch, with a stated mean time between failures exceeding 8,000 hours. Research spending is set at 15 percent of annual revenue and supported by joint laboratories with university research partners. Delivery runs 30 to 120 days depending on configuration, and the company backs installations with overseas commissioning, operator training and a 12-month machine warranty. Equipment is running in more than 30 countries, and the factory sits in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, within easy reach of the Shanghai and Ningbo container ports.

Guangdong, China · Listed Film Equipment Manufacturer
Guangdong Jinming Machinery Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1987 and listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext board in December 2011 under the ticker 300281, Jinming is the largest publicly traded film equipment builder on this list. The company employs around 494 people from its base in Haojiang District, Shantou, operates with registered capital of RMB 418.9 million, and sits inside the Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holding group with the Guangzhou municipal government as ultimate controller. On file are 77 granted invention patents, 149 utility models, 7 design patents and 11 software copyrights, alongside national high-tech enterprise status and provincial manufacturing single-champion recognition.

The core business is film making equipment: multi-layer co-extrusion blown film lines, cast film lines and film stretching lines. Slitting and rewinding machines are supplied both as standalone units and as the downstream section of a complete line, which is the reason Jinming matters to a BOPP buyer. Because the company also builds the extrusion equipment that produces the film, its slitter is engineered around the same tension control and web handling philosophy as the line itself. For converters who want a single supplier from resin to finished rolls, that continuity of design is worth more than a marginal price advantage.

The 2026 interim revenue split - 47.8 percent blown film machinery, 38.5 percent film and bag products - shows where the volume sits, and the company continues to file patents in the slitting area, including a slitter unwind-shaft loading device and method granted this year. A provincial engineering technology research centre supports development work, and the company has run long-standing technical cooperation with ExxonMobil, Dow, BASF, Borealis, Mitsubishi Chemical and Siemens. Equipment is installed at more than 3,000 end users across 50 countries, and the company also holds provincial manufacturing single-champion and specialised SME recognition.

Shaanxi, China · State-Owned Converting Equipment Builder
Shaanxi Beiren Printing Machinery Co., Ltd.

Registered in 1998 but tracing its lineage to the Shaanxi Printing Machinery Works founded in 1967, Beiren is the heavyweight institutional presence in Chinese web-converting equipment. The company employs 828 people, holds registered capital of RMB 195 million with RMB 165 million paid in, and is classified in the printing equipment manufacturing sector. It is a medium-scale state-owned enterprise under the Beijing Jingcheng Electromechanical Holding group, ultimately controlled by the Beijing municipal state assets authority - a governance structure that translates into unusually formal documentation and testing discipline for a buyer running a regulated packaging operation.

The product range covers gravure presses, flexographic presses, precision coating and laminating equipment, and the matching slitting and rewinding equipment that sits downstream of them. Beiren holds a National Enterprise Technology Centre recognised in 2025, a national post-doctoral research workstation and a provincial packaging printing machinery engineering research centre. Accumulated intellectual property stands at 71 granted invention patents, 146 utility models, 2 designs and 92 software copyrights, and the company has acted as first drafting unit for four national standards and five industry standards - a useful indicator when a buyer needs equipment that will satisfy an auditor.

Domestic market share in gravure printing machinery exceeds 34 percent, and equipment is exported to the United States, Spain, Japan, Russia, Korea, Australia and more than 30 other countries from a 465 mu site in the Weinan high-tech zone. Recognitions include national high-tech enterprise, national service-oriented manufacturing demonstration enterprise, national manufacturing single-champion cultivation status for gravure presses, provincial manufacturing single champion, and provincial specialised SME status renewed in 2025. For BOPP film work, the relevant capability is the company's long experience with wide web, high-speed film handling in coating and laminating lines, where edge quality and tension stability are the same problems a slitter has to solve.

Guangdong, China · Cast Film Lines and Film Winding Systems
Guangdong Shicheng Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd.

Established in 2003 in the Shishan technology industrial park of Nanhai District, Foshan, Shicheng has built its reputation as China's first dedicated manufacturer of high-end wide cast film production lines. The company employs 333 people, carries registered capital of RMB 112.5 million, and holds a portfolio of 611 patents and 49 trademarks. It is a national specialised and sophisticated little giant enterprise, a national manufacturing hidden champion, and was recognised as a provincial manufacturing single champion in 2025 - a combination of credentials that puts it among the most heavily certified private equipment builders in the film sector.

Its product families span cast film extrusion lines, steel belt cast film lines, specialty engineering plastic film equipment, the Smart series of film winding machines, and robotic film packaging cells. Multi-layer co-extrusion cast film lines for CPP and CPE substrates have ranked among the highest production volumes worldwide for several years, and the company chairs a national standards working group in its field. Applications reach aerospace, optical display, 5G communications, flexible packaging, new energy, biopharmaceuticals, photovoltaic backsheets and medical substrates.

The reason this company belongs in a BOPP sourcing shortlist is the winding discipline. Cast and biaxially oriented film lines share the same downstream problems a slitter faces: controlling tension as the roll builds, keeping the web flat through a high-speed transfer, and transferring a full roll without introducing a defect. Shicheng's in-house laboratory holds CNAS accreditation, meaning its test reports are recognised across multiple jurisdictions - a practical advantage when a buyer needs documented film or roll data for their own quality system rather than an informal test run.

Zhejiang, China · Printing, Die-Cutting and Slitting Machinery
Zhejiang Dayuan Machinery Co., Ltd.

Founded in 2008 in the Binhai new district of Pingyang, Wenzhou, Dayuan is a medium-scale manufacturer with registered capital of RMB 68 million and a workforce of roughly 360. The corporate history reaches further back than the registration date suggests: the predecessor business was established in 1999, and the company has been adding production capacity in staged investments ever since, including a RMB 120 million programme for a fully automatic die-cutting machine plant on a 60 mu site that came online in 2015. Total occupied land now stands at approximately 98,000 square metres with about 180,000 square metres of buildings.

The slitting side of the product range covers high-speed slitting machines, automatic slitter rewinders, roll-to-sheet sheeters and inspection rewinders, and the equipment is used on film, paper, self-adhesive stock and aluminium foil. The company also produces foil stamping machines and die-cutting machines, so its engineering strength is concentrated in web transport, register control and tension regulation rather than in extrusion. For a BOPP converter who also runs printing, laminating or label finishing, that means one supplier can cover several stations on the same floor.

Dayuan holds national high-tech enterprise status, provincial specialised and sophisticated SME recognition and provincial science-and-technology SME status, with 98 patents, 12 software copyrights, 12 trademarks and 16 qualification certificates on file. Quality, environmental and occupational health management systems are all certified to ISO standards. The company runs its own tender participation record and has invested in three affiliated businesses, which together point to a manufacturer with genuine balance sheet substance rather than a workshop renting space in an industrial park.

Jiangsu, China · Flexible Packaging Complete Lines
Wuxi Hongrui Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Hongrui traces its origins to the Wuxi Jiangnan Printing Machinery Factory, founded in the early 1980s beside the Liangxi canal, and was renamed Wuxi Jiangnan Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. in 2002 when the current entity was established in the Wuxi New District airport industrial park. More than four decades of continuous operation in soft packaging machinery is unusual in a category where many suppliers are less than ten years old, and it shows in the breadth of the product catalogue. The factory occupies 62,000 square metres and the company is certified as a national high-tech enterprise.

The range includes gravure printing presses, laminating machines, bag making machines, inspection rewinders and - central to this guide - a dedicated automatic slitting machine series. The company also builds water treatment membrane casting equipment, gas separation membrane equipment, electrolyser membranes, lithium battery ceramic separator coaters, electrode pre-coating machines, precision coaters, multi-functional coating and laminating equipment and vacuum roll-to-roll metallizers. That diversity matters because coating and laminating lines impose the same demands on web handling that a BOPP slitter does, only at higher tension.

Hongrui reports more than 3,000 completed projects and more than 20 export markets spanning Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Russia and the United States. For a BOPP buyer, the practical value lies in the ability to source a slitter that matches the web path, tension setpoints and roll handling of an existing laminator or coater from the same supplier, rather than resolving interface problems between two vendors after the equipment has landed. Staffing sits in the 100 to 200 range, so a project has an identifiable engineering contact rather than a call centre.

Anhui, China · Slitting, Coating and Rotary Die-Cutting Systems
Anhui Furi Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.

Furi was established in 2017 in the Xinwu economic development zone of Wanzhi, Wuhu, and has grown to 177 employees with registered capital of RMB 17.6 million, of which RMB 16.7 million is paid in. It operates as the manufacturing core of a wider group whose related companies specialise in slitting, rewinding and roll-cutting equipment, with group activity dating back to 2008 and an older machinery business to 1988. The company holds national high-tech enterprise, specialised and sophisticated SME, and science-and-technology SME status, and runs an engineering technology research centre.

The published product records list fully automatic slitting machines, coating machines and rotary die-cutting machines among its core output, with 40 accumulated patents and 15 product and service entries on file. Research equipment supplied by the group has been accepted by institutional buyers including research institutes under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which indicates a level of calibration and documentation that ordinary commercial assembly shops do not maintain. For BOPP work, the automatic slitting machine line is the relevant entry point, and it is offered alongside the coating and laminating equipment that typically feeds it.

Furi is a fair example of the newer generation of Chinese converting equipment builders: smaller and younger than the state-owned and listed names above, but focused on a narrow set of machine types, active in patent filing, and organised around a group structure that lets it combine slitting, coating and die-cutting under one engineering team. Buyers who need a compact slitting cell for a specific slit width and material, rather than a full wide-web line, will find this kind of supplier responsive and comparatively quick to configure.

Zhejiang, China · Gravure, Laminating and Slitting Lines
Zhejiang Deguang Machinery Co., Ltd.

Based in Ruian, the machinery cluster that supplies a large share of China's flexible packaging equipment, Deguang was registered in 2003 with RMB 20 million of paid-in capital and builds complete printing, laminating, slitting and inspection lines. The company's technical lineage reaches back to 1987, and it now operates two production bases - one in Ruian and one in Shanghai - covering roughly 32,000 square metres in total, with in-house development, component machining, machine assembly and full-machine testing under one organisation.

The core range is gravure printing machinery, offered in electronic-shaft and mechanical-shaft configurations, with downstream dry laminating machines, solvent-free laminating machines, slitting machines and inspection rewinders completing the line. Substrates covered include BOPP, PET, CPP, aluminium foil and paper across food, pharmaceutical, household and gift packaging applications. For a BOPP converter, the significance is that the slitter is designed by the same engineering team responsible for the printing and laminating equipment upstream, so tension profiles and web paths are specified as one system rather than assembled from separate catalogues.

Deguang holds national high-tech enterprise status, municipal specialised and sophisticated SME recognition and provincial contract-honouring and creditworthy enterprise status, with ISO 9001 quality certification and CE safety certification. Development work covers electronic-shaft servo drive systems, intelligent tension control, low-temperature drying for water-based inks, machine vision inspection and remote machine maintenance. The company reports more than 2,000 flexible packaging customers served across 31 domestic provinces and exports to more than 30 countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America and Africa, with a stated 72-hour technical response commitment on overseas projects.

Jiangsu, China · Dedicated Film Slitting and Rewinding Specialist
Jiangyin Baihe Machinery Co., Ltd.

Baihe is the narrowest specialist on this list: the company does slitting and inspection equipment and very little else. Established in 2015 in Gushan town, Jiangyin, it employs 55 people, holds RMB 1 million of registered capital and is classified in the packaging equipment manufacturing sector. In 2025 it was recognised as a national science-and-technology SME, and its published product records cover the complete family a film converter would look for - slitting machines, rewinding machines and inspection machines - along with supporting assemblies such as web winding units and tension adjustment devices.

Materials handled span film, paper and non-woven fabrics, copper foil and aluminium foil, which is a wider substrate range than most general-purpose packaging machinery suppliers document. Because the company does not build printing presses, laminators or bag machines, its engineering resources go entirely into the slitting and rewinding problem: knife geometry, tension curve behaviour, rewind density and finished roll face quality. Companies of this type are often the right answer when a converter needs a second slitter tuned to a particular thin or difficult film rather than a general-purpose line.

Operations are certified to a quality management system, the company reports repeat purchasing from existing customers, and it notes that its inspection and slitting equipment has been referenced by industry media as a representative supplier option in high-speed and non-woven inspection applications. The trade-off with a small specialist is honest and worth stating: engineering attention is high and configuration flexibility is good, but a buyer should confirm spare part availability, electrical component traceability and the response commitment in writing, because there is no large after-sales organisation standing behind the machine.

Jiangsu, China · Film Slitting and Roll Winding Machines
Taicang Honghai Precision Machinery Co., Ltd.

Honghai operates from Shuangfeng town in Taicang, Jiangsu, a short drive from the Shanghai container terminals, and traces its industrial origin to the Taicang Xinhu hot-pressing die factory founded in 1986. The present entity was registered in 2009 and employs 33 people with RMB 10.15 million of registered capital. It is certified as a national high-tech enterprise and holds 10 granted invention patents, 36 utility models and 5 design patents alongside a quality management system certification - a patent-to-employee ratio that is among the highest on this list and a signal that the company is engineering-led rather than assembly-led.

The published product records explicitly list film slitting machines, film slitting and rewinding machines and fully automatic slitting machines alongside web winding devices and tension adjustment mechanisms, and the range also covers paper slitting and rewinding, adhesive tape slitting and laminating-separating slitting machines. Because the company also machines extrusion and drawing dies for copper tube and bar producers, its workshop is equipped for heavy precision work rather than light sheet fabrication, which shows up in frame rigidity and guide rail alignment on the slitting machines.

For BOPP film work, Honghai is the kind of supplier a buyer approaches when the requirement is well defined and the volumes do not justify a wide-web line: a specific slit width, a specific film, and a machine that has to hold tolerance on a thin web without a large capital commitment. The company's location near Shanghai makes factory visits and material trials straightforward for international buyers already routing through the port, and it accepts both sample-based and drawing-based customisation.

Buying Guide: Six Decisions That Determine Slitting Performance

Most BOPP slitting problems trace back to a decision made before the purchase order, not to a fault in the machine. These are the six points where procurement teams most often get the specification wrong.

01 · Define the mother roll before the machine

Unwind width, unwind diameter and maximum roll weight set the structural class of the machine more than any other input. A 1,200 mm unwind diameter at 3 tonnes is a completely different frame from a 2,000 mm unwind diameter at 27 tonnes. Specify the heaviest roll you will ever buy, not the average one you buy today.

02 · Choose the slitting method by material

Razor blade cutting suits thin films and produces a clean edge with low dust. Burst cutting is faster but tolerates less variation. Shear cutting holds the tightest edge quality on thicker and stiffer substrates. Selecting on price rather than on substrate behaviour is the single most common cause of edge defect complaints.

03 · Insist on closed-loop servo tension

A BOPP web behaves differently at 1,200 mm unwind diameter than it does at 200 mm. Open-loop or purely mechanical tension control cannot compensate, and the symptom shows up as slack, telescoping or blocked rolls at the end of the run. Require a servo-driven, closed-loop system with real-time torque curve display so the operator can see what the machine is doing.

04 · Decide between duplex and dual turret

A duplex differential-shaft rewinder is simpler, cheaper and easier to maintain. A dual-turret arrangement with four shafts keeps two stations winding while two are loaded, which is how suppliers justify output gains above 40 percent. If your line already runs near capacity, the non-stop architecture usually pays back; if it does not, it adds cost without benefit.

05 · Treat web guiding as a precision item

Edge position control determines whether your slit widths are repeatable. Look for the actual correction travel in millimetres rather than the word automatic, and ask which sensor family is used. A guiding system with 75 mm of travel and a documented controller brand is a different proposition from an unlabelled actuator.

06 · Make the trial run a contractual condition

Any serious builder will run your film on a comparable machine and let you inspect the finished rolls. Ask for a documented run at the specified speed, measurement of slit width deviation across the full roll, and a written record of any material that could not be processed. Acceptance criteria agreed before the deposit are worth more than any warranty clause negotiated afterwards.

Technical Notes on BOPP Film Slitting

Thickness window. BOPP packaging film is normally slit in the 12 to 100 micrometre band, but wide-web machines are increasingly specified at 6 to 125 micrometres so the same unit can handle BOPET and metallized structures. A machine quoted at 12 micrometres minimum will still run thinner film, but at reduced speed and with more frequent knife inspection.
Speed versus width. The 800 m/min headline figure is achievable on wide, uniform BOPP. Narrow slit widths at high counts, or films at the thin end of the range, pull the practical operating speed down. Always ask for speed at your slit width, not speed at the machine maximum.
Minimum slit width. Razor configurations typically reach 300 mm minimum slit width; burst cut configurations around 350 mm. If your product mix includes narrow slit rolls, this number decides whether the machine can make the item at all, so it belongs in the technical negotiation rather than the commercial one.
Core handling. Three inch and six inch cores are standard, but the real differentiator is how the machine positions them. Laser core positioning removes reliance on operator judgement and is the single option most likely to reduce scrap during a shift change.
Contamination control. BOPP slitting generates fine dust. A trim removal blower and static eliminator brushes are not optional extras on a line feeding a printer or laminator - they are the reason the finished roll face stays clean enough to run downstream without web cleaning.
Verification before shipment. Dynamic balancing and a continuous endurance run are the two tests that separate a prepared machine from an assembled one. A 72 to 100 hour run at the factory, with the record supplied, is a reasonable minimum standard to write into the purchase agreement.
Frequently Asked Questions

What web width should a BOPP slitting machine be specified for?
Match the machine to the widest mother roll you will realistically buy. A 1,600 mm machine covers most converting operations, while film producers running 5,000 mm and wider jumbo rolls need a wide-web class machine with a shaftless unwind and a correspondingly heavier frame.
Is razor slitting or shear slitting better for BOPP?
For thin BOPP packaging film, razor slitting is the usual first choice because it produces a clean edge with low dust generation. Shear slitting becomes preferable on thicker or stiffer structures where razor blades wear too quickly. Many machines are configurable for both, which is the safest specification if your product mix is still moving.
How much speed do I actually need?
Work backwards from required finished roll output per shift, then add a margin for changeovers. A 600 m/min machine running continuously can outperform an 800 m/min machine that stops for every roll change, which is the argument for dual-turret non-stop rewinding on high-utilisation lines.
What slitting width tolerance is realistic?
On a servo-driven machine with closed-loop tension and a proper web guide, a slitting width error of plus or minus 0.1 mm is the accepted benchmark for BOPP packaging film. Automatic knife positioning typically repeats to around 0.2 mm. If a supplier cannot state both numbers, ask what they measure instead.
Can one machine run BOPP, BOPET and CPP?
Yes, provided the thickness window and tension range cover all three. BOPET is stiffer and generally slits at higher tension than BOPP, while CPP and CPE are softer and more prone to edge deformation. Look for a machine quoted across BOPET, BOPP, BOPE, BOPA, CPP and metallized film rather than one marketed for a single substrate.
How long does a Chinese BOPP slitter take to arrive?
Standard configurations typically leave the factory in 30 to 60 days, with wide-web and highly customised machines running 60 to 120 days. Add time for the material trial, factory acceptance test, export packing and sea freight. Suppliers based near Shanghai or Ningbo shorten the inland leg and simplify container loading.
